Faith Formation

As a part of Faith formation activities, the department is engaged with many programmes that helping the Christian community to grow in their relationship with God and, developing a deeper understanding of the Bible and faith tradition by participating in the life and ministries of faith community.

Home Mission
We conduct Home Mission in  Parishes in the diocese of Irinjalakuda, and visit families and organized evangelization programs for the parishners.  For the success of home mission following arrangements were made .

The families in the parish were divided into different units. At the end of the family visit of each unit all the unit family members gathered in the evening. Our sisters led rosary, and conducted awareness classes, reflections etc. Agape and Holy mass arranged were a memorable one. Major result of the Home Mission program is that the family quarrels between wife and husband, between brothers, etc were clarified and made friendly. Another wonderful experience is that a man received the Holy Sacrament of Confession after 40 years gap. Many problems like property disputes, drug addiction, alcoholism and family problems, etc can be solved by the Holy interference of God.

CMC Associates
In association with every convent there is group of house wives, known as CMC associates. Besides monthly gathering in the convents they have Province level gathering twice a year. Awareness classes, prayer services, Agape etc were inspired them in their gatherings. Grihasakhi, Nalla Appante Chavarul etc. were given as a gift to them. Chances to visit the pilgrim centres like Mannanam Chavara centre, Ollur and Kattoor Euphrasia centres were arranged.

Carmel buds
It is an association of children from the Catholic families . Besides the meeting and other programmes in association with each convent, Carmel buds gathered twice in the province level . Classes related to the teachings of St.Chavara were given to them. A Quiz programme was also organized and felicitated the winners.

Christeen Team
A three days Christeen Programme was arranged for UP and and High School students. The students enjoyed it very well especially the Confession, Adoration and Holy Mass which led them into spiritual experience.

Chavara Day
Besides Holy mass, special prayer and Chavara message conducted every institutions, skit competition was organized in Schools. 21 Team were participated from LP, UP, HS and HSS. By incorporating all the skit programmes a CD was also prepared.

Kudumba Koottayma
As a part of Chavara Admadarsan Kudumba Koottayma, a gathering of our parents, religious sisters and brothers was very impressive . Holy Qurbana, Agape, Kalavirunnu etc were made colour to the programmes. A beautiful Nrithavishkaranam namely Mohiniyatam, which was performed by Kalamandalam Radhika, based on the theme Kanakenam a kavyam from Bl.Chavaras Nalla Appente Chavarul was inspired very much and deeply imprinted in the hearts of spectators.

Counselling
Counselling is the most important and remarkable service to the people. Our sisters are rendering counselling to the parents, children and youth to attain better psychological and personal growth. About 10 sisters are working in school, college and De- addiction centers. All these programs help the people not only to get release from loneliness, depression, anxiety, teenage problems, sexual problems,  alcoholism, stress and strain etc. but also to grow them in Christian faith and spirituality.

MassMedia

• In modern society , people think that their life with out media is like a lamp with out oil . In order to strengthen the faith vision of people of God especially children and youth Media and Publication department focused their attention to convey religious messages through the following ventures.

• A tele film namely The Right Path with a theme abuse of Internet and Mobile phone among the youth was developed in association with Divine TV Channel . The CDs of the same distributed in the schools.

•  An Album related our Heavenly Mother and a handwritten Magazine on the word of God were prepared by our sisters and exhibited varieties of rosaries with captions .

• Booklet namely Itha Chavarayachan as a guide for students to prepare them to Quiz programme was published . About 5000 pocket calendar of the year 2012 with the picture of Bl. Chavara & Bl. Euphrasia was printed and distributed .

• The books like Nalla Appante Chavarul, Kudumbangalude Chavarayachan etc were distributed among the sisters , teachers and their family members , I n this way , we try to inform , form and transform the present generation through publications and distribution of religious books , CDs etc . It is our duty to communicate the message of Gods love to others
